Pongal, the harvest festival of Tamil Nadu, was celebrated in Snehagram with all its traditional rituals. Every year we used to decorate the porch with homegrown veggies, but this year the crop failed. However, the celebration went well leaving memorable moments. Eating sugarcane sticks and Pongal sweet were the interesting items of the day. All children enjoyed chewing sugarcane to the full.
