We celebrated Pongal on 14th of January. Pongal is the Harvest festival of Tamilnadu. It was our first Pongal celebration in Snehagram. Some of the village children came to our School to celebrate Pongal with us. The special food of Pongal is sugarcane and sweet rice. After the celebration we had tea and new games.

We celebrated Pongal on 14th January. Pongal is the one of the famous harvest festivals in Tamilnadu. It was our first Pongal celebration in Snehagram. On that day we wore new dress before prayer. We made Pongal Rice and we had sugar cane. During Pongal, bull fight is very common in Tamilnadu. People go for outing and visit their relatives. On that day we had special lunch. After lunch we watched TV and boys went for a walk to the nearby mountain. Some children came from the nearby village. We had a nice time with them.
